Sportsman Trackwork Wrap

Verstappen appears to have freshened up nicely for the Danny O’Brien stable and galloped sharply with stablemate Flash Boy on Tuesday.

There was little between the pair at the completion of their 1000m workout clocking 1.08.32 for the trip and 24.56 for their last 400. Verstappen created a good impression with his dominant debut victory earlier this year, pictured, and looks capable of measuring up to some feature races for three year olds in the weeks ahead.

His Tuesday morning workmate, Flash Boy, who performed below expectations in Adelaide on debut and that run is probably best overlooked when assessing his future prospects.
