Sale beckons as Ollie soars on Red Velvet Swing

Well-bred mare Red Velvet Swing made champion jockey Damien Oliver's trip to Geelong on Friday worthwhile with an easy victory in the final event on the card.

Sent out favourite in the 2200m BM58 event, the four-year-old mare made light work of the opposition coming from back in the field to win eased down by 4.5 lengths.

Oliver said there where more wins in store for the daughter of Star Witness.

"She has been racing consistently and even though the opposition wasn't great she can only do what she did and I would expect that she go win more races around this trip without an issue," Oliver said.

On Thursday the mare was listed for sale on website Bloodstockauction.com so Friday's race was a winning farewell for connections.
