O'Brien's countdown to 100 winners

Danny O'Brien has charged through the season to date and the stable is creeping ever closer to training 100 winners for the season.

The stable has been firing, coming off a Moonee Valley winner and two winners at Morphettville on Saturday, and is charging towards a career best 100 winners Australia wide for the season.

The tally rose to 92 for the season with impressive imported Machiavellian Filly Firemaid saluting at Echuca on Tuesday in her first race start.

"The success of the stable this year has been several years in the making." said Danny O'Brien.

"This has been the result of our selection of yearlings being backed by both new and long term stable clients. Such a plan would obviously not be possible without an unwavering commitment from my staff."

With stable stars of years gone by such as Glamour Puss and Demerger now off to stud, there are plenty of horses currently in the mix to take the step up to group company as we press on towards the Spring.
