Racing returns to Flemington

After ten months and much work, Flemington Racecourse is set to return on Saturday for Makybe Diva Stakes Day. Historically a happy hunting ground for the Danny O'Brien Racing team, the track offers up further opportunities for some of the stables best Spring fancies.

Impressive 3yo's Purrealist and Chinchilla Rose are set to do battle in the Group 3 Danehill Stakes over 1200m after their placings in the Listed Vain and Quezette Stakes respectively at their last outings. Both horses have trained on well and look ready to fire in their first outings at Flemington.

Staying horses DouroValley and Master O'Reilly head to their second up runs with solid form under their belts. DouroValley has been ultra consistent since joining the stable and he gets up to a much more suitable distance at headquarters. Master O'Reilly is another who gets his first look at the Flemington track and will be well suited by the spacious surrounds.

Montjeu gelding Ballack resumes here for only his second campaign after showing promising signs in his only preparation as an Autumn 3yo. In just six starts, he went to the paddock being a Group 1 and Listed placegetter with a second in the WA Derby and a third in the VRC St.Leger to his name.

Juste Momente showed she is back better than ever in her first up run at Caulfield in the Cockram Stakes and she looks well suited in this Saturday's Group 3 Let's Elope Stakes. She is twice a winner at the distance from four tries including one of those at Flemington, indicating that she will appreciate the return to racing at headquarters.

With other potential runners including Archie Senior, Pins on Parade, Barbaricus and Princess Zanzibar ready to take their places at Flemington, the Danny O'Brien Racing team look to have a very strong hand.
