La Chasseuse races back home

Lion Hunter mare La Chasseuse heads back to her home track at Flemington on Saturday where she will compete in the Listed RDA Victoria Stakes over 1100m.

She has put together a terrific strike rate in her fourteen starts for Danny O'Brien, notching up four wins and another six placings. While excelling in Fillies and Mares grades, she showed that she can mix it with the boys at Open Handicap level when she was beaten half a length down the Flemington Straight over 1000m on December 15th.

Flemington has been a happy hunting ground for the mare with her two starts netting two seconds by small margins, including a nose second on Oaks Day. Her record at 1100m is outstanding with a win and two seconds as she shoots for black type in this race.

Danny O'Brien has had terrific results with the progeny of the now deceased Lion Hunter. He was very active in securing the Queensland stallion's stock at the major sales and has had excellent success with the likes of Ferocity, Leone Chiara, Barbaricus, Immortality and now La Chasseuse.
