Juste Momente on track for Stradbroke

Juste Momente showed she is on track for the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap with her excellent effort in running fourth in Saturday's Doomben 10,000.

From barrier two jockey Shane Scriven had Juste Momente well placed just off the speed.  The slow pace of the race did not suit her, but despite this she fought on tenaciously and only just missed third place.

"Her effort on Saturday was very good given the lack of tempo early in the race, and she will be well suited with the significant weight drop into the Stradbroke," trainer Danny O'Brien said.

"People forget that only three starts ago she won the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes in Adelaide, coming from last to beat Miss Andretti and Serious Speed.  Her form lines are as good as any going into the Stradbroke," O'Brien said.

Juste Momente is by Giants Causeway out of the Danehill mare Skates, making her an extremely valuable broodmare proposition.
