O'Brien's nation-wide blitz

Trainer Danny O’Brien will launch a four-state attack on feature racing this weekend.

O’Brien will have runners in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia.

“It’s an exciting weekend for our owners and the stable,” said O’Brien, who is in Sydney for the Inglis Sales this weekend.

“We are looking forward to the weekend as we have some really good chances in some very good races.”

The weekend kicks off for the Flemington trainer with multiple runners at Moonee Valley on Friday night including Sparkling Satine in the $130,000 Members Equity Bank Plate (1514m).

On Saturday, Caulfield Cup winner Master O’Reilly will tackle the Group 1 BMW (2400m) at Rosehill, while staying 3yo Buffett (pictured above in the Victoria Derby) will have his final lead-up run for the AJC Derby in the Group 2 Tulloch Stakes over 2000m at the same meeting.

In Adelaide, Group 1 Schweppes Oaks placegetter Miss Lily Rose will be joined by stablemate Midnight Wine in the Group 3 SA Fillies Classic (2500m).

Across the nullabor, Perth-owned Full Moon will tackle the Group 3 WA Oaks (2400m).

While back in Melbourne at Caulfield, Villain will race second-up in the 1600m open handicap and classy 2yo Better Be The One will look to make it two from two in the 2yo fillies handicap (1200m).
