Flemington

Located trackside at Flemington, Danny O'Brien Racing's stables are situated adjacent to the famous 3200m Melbourne Cup start.

Originally Symbol Lodge, the historic stables are now a state-of-the-art, thoroughbred training complex, providing the very best accommodation and training environment for horses.

The advantages of being based at Flemington include the use of 38 custom-built modern boxes and day yards, private walking machines, sand rolls and wash bays as well as full access to the specifically designed horse pool.

Flemington also allows Danny’s horses access to training tracks including sand, grass and ViscoRide surfaces. His horses also have access to trials/jump outs held weekly on one of the many grass tracks.

After a trip to Dubai for their autumn carnival, Danny installed a high-speed treadmill, which gives him another option for the implementation of his training principles.

In 2009, Danny also renovated his stable offices to allow the business to expand and include a boardroom overlooking the Racecourse, which features an area to entertain clients.

This is all while being less than a 40-minute drive to the three other metropolitan racetracks.

This world class training location allows Danny to offer the optimum training programme to suit each horse’s individual needs.
