ACTA LETS HIS SPEED DO THE TALKING
Stunning colt Acta Non Verba let his galloping do all the talking at Cranbourne on Wednesday as he broke his maiden at start three.
The well-named Blue Point colt, his name is Latin for Actions Not Words, is likely to be tested in town next start by his trainer and part-owner Danny O'Brien following the 1400 open maiden victory.
"We have always had time for this colt as he has shown that he is above average since the moment he entered our yard, but he has just taken time to be ready and put it all together," O'Brien said.
"He showed a good turn of foot off a decent tempo which is encouraging to see and next start we will test him against his own age group in town."
O'Brien has earmarked the 1600m BM70 three-year-old event at Caulfield on Wednesday, October 16 for his next start.
Jockey Damian Lane was pleased with the performance.
"He was dominant today and won well, and it will be interesting how he fares up in grade next start, but I am looking forward to finding out," Lane said post race.
