ANGEL SALUTES FOR HARRY

The Danny O’Brien-trained Grinzinger Angel provided her second-season sire Harry Angel (Ire) with his 12th Southern Hemisphere winner when she careered away with her maiden at Casterton on Sunday. 

Ridden by Liam Riordan, the three-year-old filly, pictured right, was having start three and won the 1100m event by 5 lengths eased down. 

Grinzinger Angel was an $85,000 purchase by John Wheeler from the draft of Hollylodge Thoroughbreds at the 2022 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

It was the second leg of a double for owner-trainer-jockey, after Grizinger Burg, pictured below, broke her maiden with a tough victory over 1400m.
