Another Bullseye for Uluru Stud
Three-year-old filly Another Bullseye showed she has a bright future with a strong maiden victory at Geelong for owner-breeders Uluru Stud.
The beautifully bred daughter of Mossman, is a three-quarter sister to the star sprinter, Buffering as they have the same sire and their dam's Never Miss and Action Annie are sisters.
In has taken the filly four starts to break through for her first win after a third placing on debut, then striking a wet track second time out before a luckless run at Caulfield last start.
"We have always had an opinion of this filly and to beat the boys so early in her three-year-old wins shows that she has come class," trainer Danny O'Brien said.
"Everyone that has ever sat on her back has given her a wrap so hopefully they are all right and she continues to progress as we step her up in trip."
Jockey Ben Melham had the filly three-wide with cover in the run before making sure she was clear for the run home.
"She pulled up once she hit the front as she has never been in front before, but she always had them covered and I believe she could go on with it thanks to the confidence she would have gleaned from the performance," Melham said.
