BEACH LIFE AGREES WITH DRUMMIE
Kildrummie showed she has a liking for trainer Danny O’Brien’s 13th Beach facility after returning from a seven-week freshen up with a classy win at Bendigo on Sunday.
The Rosemont Stud bred and raced filly was also dropping back in trip to 1600m, but that didn’t worry her as she put paid to her rivals by three lengths.
Jockey Damien Thornton said the Tarzino three-year-old has improved significantly since her last start.
“Over the longer trip she raced far too fierce and couldn’t finish off strongly, but today with the genuine tempo she relaxed beautifully and showed a nice turn of foot to put the race away,” Thornton said.
“I am sure she would be ready to step back up in distance now, and she can relax like today again she would be hard to beat.”
