BRAVE LEGEND HANGS ON
Lina’s Legend showed his fighting qualities as he took on and beat the older horses at Bendigo on Saturday.
The three-year-old was brave and tenacious as he edged out Vitruvius and Bellinger in a tight finish to the 1300m benchmark 70, while short-priced favourite Stretto disappointed.
Jockey Damien Thornton’s ride was inspired as he always his charge travelling and looking the horse to beat.

Stretto raced midfield – outside Linas Legend – but when the sprint went on passing the 200m mark the $1.95 fancy failed to pick up.
Stakes-placed Linas Legend has now won three of nine career starts.
