COMBO RIORDAN UP THE CHARTS

Emerging jockey Liam Riordan is in hot form when teaming up with trainer Danny O'Brien. 

The young hoop registered another double with the Melbourne Cup winning trainer at Camperdown yesterday when he scored aboard It's My Turn and Antequera, pictured.

That makes it 8 winners from 32 rides this season at a strike-rate of 25% for the combination.

The second winner took a daring front-running ride from the Riordan, and the courage of the son Almanzor to kick when challenged inside the final furlong wsas impressive. 

"Danny is giving me a lot of opportunities and it's great to start repaying the faith by riding winners for him," Riordan said. 

"Antequera was terrific as i used him up early and then went for home too soon, because we wanted everyone chasing him. He showed great resolve to kick and get the bob in as the other horse did head us. It was a really good effort."
