Stepping out for the first-time as a three-year-old, Daily At Dawn produced the best performance of her five start career, breaking her maiden status at Geelong on Friday.

After opting out of an early speed battle, jockey James Winks settled the filly midfield before putting her into the race around the corner of the 1200m event.

"We had to get going earlier than I wanted to as she was resenting the kick-back, but I really liked the way she found the line and hopefully she will gain the confidence from today to go on with it," Winks said.
