DOUBLE DELIGHT AT HAMILTON
Trainer Danny O'Brien kept his hot run of form to start the new season going on Monday when he scored a double at Hamilton with two progressive mares.
The Melbourne Cup winning trainer has won 17 races through the first seven weeks of the season at the strike-rate of 22.7% and sits on fourth on the Victorian Trainer's Premiership.
Future Monarch, pictured right, and Walk Of Fame both made it back-to-back victories and Fred Kersley successfully piloted both to victory on Monday.
Future Monarch stepped out to 1600m for the first time and the daughter of Pierro relished every bit of the extra ground.
"I think you will be hearing a lot more of her. She just keeps improving every time she steps out and the stable have done a good job placing her to advantage," Kersley said.
Earlier on the card, Kersley gave Waikato Stud owned and bred Walk Of Fame, pictured left, an excellent ride as she stormed to her second win from three careers starts.
"Today she was first-up, but the team prepared her well and she did the rest. She is building a nice profile and you will see her winning more races soon."
