Dunn looking forward to Now You Know ride
A support race on Thursday's Oaks program holds more expectation for jockey Dwayne Dunn than the feature event.
Three-quarters of an hour after Dunn rides outsider Flame Of Lanka in the Group One VRC Oaks (2500m) he will be legged aboard So You Think's younger half-brother Now You Know in the Listed Myer Spring Fashion Stakes (1800m).
The Danny O'Brien-trained colt broke his maiden at his fourth start over 1600 metres at Sale last Sunday week to prompt a raising of the bar.
Dual Cox Plate winner So You Think runs as third favourite in the Breeders' Cup Classic in America on Sunday morning for trainer Aidan O'Brien having been trained in Australia by Bart Cummings.
"He's starting to do things right and really impressed last time," Dunn said of Now You Know.
"There's a lot of pressure, not so much on me but on the horse because of who he is.
"He is still learning and I think he will be set for the autumn in Sydney but I am hoping he goes well tomorrow."
Now You Know cost $260,000 at the New Zealand premier sale after So You Think, a $110,000 purchase two years earlier, had won his first Cox Plate but before he had been hailed a champion.
A full-brother to So You Think will be among the star lots offered at the Easter sale in Sydney next year.
Now You Know is the $4 early favourite for his assignment on Thursday while Dunn's Oaks mount is at $31 with Dowager Queen the $3.80 favourite.
