Eraset looking to complete metro set

It's been just over 12 months between drinks for classy miler Eraset, however trainer Danny O'Brien is confident the horse can get back in the winner's stall at Flemington tomorrow.

The Reset gelding finished a nose second against Happy Trails at Caulfield on Thousand Guineas Day when carrying 59kgs (pictured), before heading to Sale to defend his Cup crown.

However he was a late scratching after becoming fractious in the gates and bursting from the barriers without jockey Dwayne Dunn.

"The horse has come through the incident at Sale well and we are confident he has taken no harm from that day," O'Brien said.

"His last run was fantastic under the big weight and he ran a super third in this race last year after being trapped wide throughout.

"He is going every bit as well as last year and we are expecting him to right in the mix tomorrow."

Eraset has won at Sandown, Moonee Valley and Caulfield during his career and O'Brien it would be a thrill for the owners to complete the set of wins on city tracks with the horse.

"For a horse to win at all four metro tracks is a great effort and very satisfying for any owners, ad to complete the set by winning a race during the carnival would be very special," O'Brien said.
