FILLY'S DOMINANCE LEADS TO CHEERS
Northern Hemisphere-bred filly Drinks At Vista broke through for her maiden win in emphatic style at Geelong on Saturday.
After three middling performances to start her career, the daughter of Nathaniel could not have been more impressive in the 1715m event.
Jockey Liam Riordan always had the four-year-old travelling just behind the speed before taking a gap and racing away with the race in the final 400m.
"She was excellent today with the blinkers on. She travelled sweetly for me and when the gap came she was very strong through the line," Riordan said of the three-length win.
"I expect she can get further no problem and with the confidence she gained today, I am confident that she can go on with this form."
