FLASHY GELDING ANYTHING BUT A SHAM

Attractive four-year-old Sham I Am looks set for a strong winter campaign after he cruised to victory first-up at Geelong on Friday.

The win gave the Danny O’Brien stable a double on the day, and took the son of Shamexpress’ record to three wins and two placings from six starts.

The $12 chance was ridden superbly by jockey Daniel Moor, who is two wins from two rides on the horse.

Moor was positive from the wide gate and controlled the tempo of the race outside the leader before kicking away to win comfortably in the straight.

“He has taken time to mature, but he is a little beauty as he is so honest and gives his all every time he steps out,” O’Brien said.

“We will keep taking him through his grades and I can’t see why he won’t keep improving his record off the back of today.. He is in for a nice prep.”
