GLOBAL DOMINATION

Phoenix Global never have his rivals a chance in the final event on the card at Ballarat on Sunday as he dominated the BM64 1200m event from the front to score a four-length victory.

Having his first start for Melbourne Cup winning trainer Danny O'Brien and ridden by Caulfield Cup and Cox Plater winner Damian Lane, the son of All Too Hard was very impressive.

"It was a very good performance as he bounced and wanted to rock along and he never really relaxed out in front. But he extended nicely and proved far too good for them today," Lane said.

The win was the four-year-old's second at career start nine, but he looks to have plenty more wins in store on the back on his authoritive performance.

"When this stable gives you a good push, they usually run well and today was no expection and he is a horse that should go on with it now," Lane added post race.
