GOLDEN DEBUT PERFORMANCE

Rosemont Stud bounced into Day 1 of the Melbourne Premier Sale with a spring in their step after the impressive debut of home-bred Glitter N Gold at Ballarat on Sunday.

The half-sibling to Iconoclasm and Stay Gold, certianly showed she has inherited plenty of dam Gold Lottey's ability with a stunning last to first victory in the 1100m two-year-old event.

Jockey Craig Williams, who went to the Sunday Ballarat for just this ride, was full of praise for the daughter of Choisir.

"Wow that was impressive," Williams said.

"After she bungled the start, I thought our chances were gone, but when I put her into the race at the 600m I was blown away by the way she let down. She did a heap of things wrong, but was still far too good for a field that had a few spruik horses in it. I think she has a big future."

Trainer Danny O'Brien indicated that he would likely test the filly in town next start with a two-year-old fillies' event at Sandown in later March over 1300m on the agenda.
