HE HAD IT WON A FARHH WAY OUT

Farhh Flung bounced back to his best with a dominant victory at Moonee Valley over 1600m on Cox Plate Eve.

The Uk-bred won impressively coming from last at The Valley two starts back over 1500m before failing on Caulfield Guineas Day at 1700m.

However on Friday night, jockey Damian Lane was positive from the gates and settled outside the leader to control the tempo of the race before surging clear as they entered the straight.

"He was super. He is a very progressive horse, it really is a mystery as to why he went so poorly last start at Caulfield," Lane said post race.

"On straightening he was able to use his turn of foot and he was able to put the race away quite comfortably."

Trainer Danny O'Brien was confident the son of Farhh could bounce back after his below par recent run.

"He is such an honest horse and he got a terrific ride from Damian and was able to get the job done," O'Brien said.

"Not exactly sure what happened at Caulfield. I think he just lost sight of the leaders, as it was a race that the field stretched right out and he got a long way off them and couldn't get into that race at all. It was unusual for him to run poorly so I am not surprised for him to bounce back tonight."
