LET'SROLLTHEDICE MAKES IMPRESSIVE DEBUT
Trainer Danny O'Brien unearthed a potential top-line two-year-old in Let'srollthedice at Bendigo on Tuesday.
The son of Dundeel settled back in the field from jockey Damian Lane in the 1100m maiden event before putting his highly touted rivals with a devastating turn of foot.
"That was a really pleasing debut," jockey Damian Lane said.
"He trialled up really nicely, but I was just worried he might need the day out and a little further, however under the conditions they went hard and it was really testing out there so it really bought him into it."
"He finished strongly and as I touched on, we really liked him back home, so it's really exciting for him to produce that performance here today."
The Melbourne Carnival winning training is a big wrap for the sire as he has bought two colts from Dundeel this sales season.
"Dundeel can throw a good colt and we are hoping this bloke can measure up to better races down the track," O'Brien said.
Racing fans won't have to wait long for that as Let'srollthedice is likely to head to the Group 2 Sires Produce Stakes at Flemington on March 12 for his next start.
