MENACING MURILLO MAULS RIVALS
Murillo made it two wins on the bounce for new trainer Danny O'Brien when he monstered his opposition at Kyneton on Wednesday.
After winning his stable debut on Geelong Cup Day at $20, punters were not going to miss a second time with the six-year-old gelding sent out a $2 favourite in the BM84 1200m event.
In the run punters were also on good terms with themsleves as Jamie Mott settled the son of Scat Daddy in the one-out, one-back position before producing him turning for home.
"It was a soft win as he half stopped as he got to the front, but he knuckled back down and was powerful through the line. It was an impressive win," Mott said post race.
"He has been placed to perfection. Danny had him in the right race and as his confidence builds he should go onto better races."
O'Brien said he was very happy with his new stable addition and that he will look to again place him to advantage as he looks to build a picket fence in his form column.
