MOVING RIGHT ALONG

It's been a waiting game, but his all female connections of On The Move appear in store for their patience being rewarded as he scored his first win at Ballarat on Tuesday.

Trainer Danny O'Brien's Barwon Heads Foreman Michael Blomeley said the three-year-old gelding was still growing into himself following the strong win.

"He is a big lump of a lad and he has taken a while for the him to put it all together given his size," Blomeley said post-race.

"He has always shown ability, but he needed to furnish further and he is still nowhere near the finished product so for him to win so well today, he is really doing that on raw ability."

The son of Trapeze Artist made his debut in May last year before being put away, but he returned with a nice third first-up at Ballarat over 1400m before returning to the track and getting the job done over 1500m on Tuesday.

Jockey Billy Egan was adamant that the gelding would handle stepping up in trip without an issue.

"He was really strong through the line and he got competitive again past the post when the other horses caught up to him. He still doesn't know what he is doing yet, so that bodes well fro his future," Egan said.
