Now You Know settled with strong Valley win
Emerging three-year-old galloper Now You Know bounced back to form strongly on Friday night at Moonee Valley thanks to an excellent ride by star hoop Craig Williams.
After overracing at his past two starts when stepping up in grade and distance, Now You Know, half-brother to champion So You Think, relaxed beautiful last night when dropping back to 1600m and proved too strong for his rivals in the 0-72 handicap.
Trainer Danny O'Brien lauded Williams' ride saying the horse had untapped ability if he is able to settle in his races.
"He's given himself no chance running out 1800m at his past couple by fighting the riders, but Craig was great tonight as he got him to come back underneath him and the horse showed what he can do late when he peeled off the back of the leaders and put the race away," O'Brien said.
"It was a gutsy performance from the colt as race favourite, Fast And Free challenged him at the 300m and actually headed him, but our bloke dug deep and was very strong on the line which was pleasing."
