O'Brien hoping filly can find her place

Trainer Danny O'Brien will be hoping the aptly named Placement can shake her tag as best maiden in Australia in the next month as she gets set to take on the best three-year-old fillies in the land.

O'Brien declared a trip to Adelaide or Sydney for the Savabeel filly after another placing yesterday, this time a closing second to She's Gifted at Caulfield over 1600m.

O'Brien said the VRC Oaks placegetter, who has five seconds and three thirds from her for 14 starts for in excess of $205,000 in prizemoney, would be better suited to level weights next week.

"She's only small, you could see her anchored by the 57kg today. She'll be better off at the set weights next week," O'Brien said after the race.

Placement will now either back-up in next Saturday's Group 1 $350,000 Australasian Oaks (2000m) in Adelaide or go to Sydney for the Group 1 fillies staying double, the Storm Queen (2000m) and AJC Oaks (2400m).

"She a talented filly, who is Group 1 and Group 2 placed, so it wouldn't surprise me to see her break her maiden status in a feature event in the next few weeks," he said.
