O'BRIEN NOTCHES CENTURY WITH STAKES WIN

It'sourtime bookended a century of Australian winners for trainer Danny O'Brien this season with victory in the Listed Santa Ana Lane Sprint Series Final (1200m) at Flemington.

It'sourtime, runner-up in the race last year, went one better on Saturday, the gelding's fourth success from 17 starts at Headquarters.

It'sourtime opened O'Brien account for the 2023-24 season on August 5 with victory in the Group 3 Aurie's Star.

"It's a fantastic result, it's our 100th winner of the season and he was actually our first winner of the season as well, great result," assistant trainer Ellie Morrison said.

"We know he loves Flemington and we thought we'd put the blinkers back on over this trip and seemed to work nicely."

O'Brien's haul for the season include 94 Victorian winners, including 25 on the metropolitan circuit.

It'sourtime paid $19 with TAB and finished ahead of Crosshaven and Who Dares.

The Astrologist rounded out the top four.

Jockey Damian Lane sealed a Flemington double with the comfortable win.

"I settled in a lovely spot and with blinkers on he was really switched on today," Lane said.

"Just got into the race really well and if anything, I thought, I'm here really early but loves his track.

"I was always confident, with the pace on I was really confident where I was, you don't often get that in straight races … he was on the job.

"I was confident he was going to run well a long way out."
