OH BILLY YOU'RE SO FINE

Billy Egan's week just keeps getting better as the in-form hoop added another victory when Clavel was too good at Pakenham on Thursday night.

Egan took out the Group 1 Australian Guineas last Saturday and has followed up that triumph with a double at Bendigo and winners at Ararat and Pakenham.

"It's been a good week. Saturday was next level and to continue it on has been pleasing," Egan said post-race.

"Getting opportunities for big stables and being able to repay the faith is satisfying."

Clavel is a three-year-old daughter of Zoustar and she rounded out the week nicely for owner-breeder Robert Anderson, who sold her full-brother at the Inglis Premier Sale on Monday for $400,000.

Clavel now has a win and second placing from three career starts.
