One Faster breaks through
Uluru Stud owned & bred One Faster put in a sustained show of speed at Geelong today to break through for his maiden win.
At start number nine, the Lonhro gelding led from start to finish from barrier 1 for in-form jockey Katelyn Mallyon in the 1200m maiden event.
"He's been a frustrating horse in the past for the stable, but hopefully he will take a great deal of confidence from today and go on with it," Mallyon said.
"I was really impressed as his win was full of authority as he did it really easily."
The three-year-old has always shown ability, but his form tapered off last preparation, however a long spell at Uluru Stud in Macedon appears to have paid dividends as today was first run for this campaign.
