PENNY DROPPING FOR PORTER
Gun jockey Blake Shinn predicted Porter had more wins in store after the four-year-old demolished his opposition at Sale on Friday over 1400m.
The son of So You Think has always shown above average ability for trainer Danny O'Brien and has now won twice and placed from four starts this campaign.
"He has matured and improved immensely from when I rode him last preparation," Shinn said post-race.
"He always travelled well in his races, but he lacked that killer punch, however today he gave me a great feel. I really liked how he put them to the sword as the business end of the race."
The win was Porter's third at start 14, but his career has also included six placings.
"He has always been thereabouts, but it appears the penny is dropping and I feel he could go to town and be winning as he keeps improving," Shinn added.
