PERFECT RIDE SEES LONG SHOT WIN
An 11 out of 10 ride from Daniel Moor saw From Within bounce back into the winner's stall for the first time in almost two years.
Making use of an inside draw, Moor took the $30 chance to the front and rated her perfectly before pinching a break rounding the turn which ended up being the winning move.
"She was totally overlooked by the market and her rivals to be honest, which allowed us to get a couple of cheap sectionals and she was too good for them," Moor said.
Her victory over the $2.30 favourite Front Page was first from four starts with Danny O'Brien.
"She came down to us mid-prep and she ran well without winning, but we were able to give her a break at 13th Beach and build up to this so it is satisfying to get the result. And Daniel's ride was an 11 out of 10," O'Brien said.
The master trainer is aiming the daughter of Not A Single Doubt at the Alinghi Stakes during Caulfield Cup week, a race she won two years ago.
From Within's rider Moor paused to reflect on 30 years since Oliver first rode a Group 1 winner: "I remember sitting outside Warrnambool racecourse when I was a kid, I think I got his signature on a beer coaster or something.
"I was about 10 years old. He's amazing, a freak of this game. Whatever he dishes up is amazing."
