Pins filly impressive

The three year-old fillies maiden at Sandown on Wednesday looked a competitive affair on paper and Kiwi-bred Pins filly My Pendant surged home late for an impressive win that shows she has big future in store.

The Danny O'Brien trained filly was second at her first two starts and showed the benefit of race experience and fitness to charge home and witn the 1200 metre contest by a length and a quarter for Craig Williams.

"She's a lovely filly, that's three starts for two seconds and a dominant win today," Williams said.

"I like the way she let down. She's a nice progressive filly."

My Pendant runs for a big syndicate of O'Brien's stable clients and runs in the colours of owner Mark Chittick of Waikato Stud.

My Pendant is the first winner for My Locket, a half-sister to Group I Queensland Oaks winner Miss Keepsake and Group II winner Villifye and claims legendary matriarch My Tricia as her fourth dam. This family features champions Lonhro and Lankan Rupee as well as numerous Group I stars including Grosvenor, Mahaya and Tavago.
