REGALLY BRED FILLY PUTS WRITING ON THE WALL
Miss Aria showed her class first-up at Geelong on Friday with an excellent winning performance over 1347m that has connections dreaming of better races.
The three-year-old filly was having her first start of the season after two credible fourths as a juvenile, and she showed she is horse with immense talent the way she powered to victory.
Daughter of Group 1 Myer Classic winner Bonaria, her connections hope she may one day succeed in black-type racing which would make her a valuable proposition as a broodmare.
“I was very confident once she began well as it’s no disadvantage to be near the speed today, and her class shone through at the finish,” said trainer Danny O’Brien.
“She has won her maiden convincingly enough today so we will see where she ends up, but with time we thinks she can make it to a nice level.”
The Melbourne Cup winning trainer is toying with the idea of possibly running the Zoustar filly at Flemington in a listed level for her next assignment.
