ROMANCE PROVES TOO RAPID FOR RIVALS
Well-bred filly Rapid Romance scored her first win for trainer Danny O'Brien at Moe on Thursday.
The win came at the three-year-old's fourth start in a race and jockey Damien Thornton predicted the sight of her in the winner's circle would become more regular as she improved her racing craft.
"We had a lovely run one-out, one-back, but when she hit the lead at the top of the straight she got lost and didn't know what to do so it was good effort for her to keep going and secure the win," Thornton said to Racing.com post race. after the 1600m victory.
"I think she will get out to 2000m as well so that gives her scope to go on with it now she has her first win."
It was an exciting result for owner-breeder Uluru Stud as the daughter of Fastnet Rock is a half-sister to Group 2 winner Summer Sham.
