Rose keeping up appearances

Emerging staying filly, Keep De Rose repaid the patience of her owners by bouncing back into the winner's stall at Caulfield today.

Ridden by Craig Williams, Keep De Rose dominated the race from outside the leader before proving too strong in the run to the line to win the 1800m $80,000 BMW Handicap.

The promising stayer missed the Autumn through injury, after high hopes were held when she won a 1700m mares race during Melbourne Cup week at just her fourth start.

Sunday's victory improved what is becoming a nice record for the mare as she now has three wins and three placings and $128,400 in prizemoney from seven career starts.

Trainer Danny O'Brien has big plans for the four-year-old daughter of Keeper with the $100,000 Pinker Pinker Plate (2025m) at Cranbourne on October 11 on the radar for her next target before a possible Group start against her own sex in Melbourne Cup week.
