SEAFLARE SENDS WARNING SHOT
Seaflare wasted no time strutting her stuff for new trainer Danny O'Brien with victory at Donald on Saturday in her first outing for the Melbourne Cup winning trainer.
Having just her second race start the daughter of Shamus Award, proved a betting drift wrong to score a dogged victory for Cory Parish over 1350m.
"It was a good performance as she did a lot wrong in the run, but I am sure this win will do her confidence the world of good and I expect that when she learns what it's all about she will be a nice filly," Parish said post race.
Connections will be hoping Parish is right, given the three-year-old is a full-sister to O'Brien's triple Group 3 winner Sovereign Award.
