Sette Bello comes up trumps second time out

Race experience and the addition of blinkers have helped Sette Bello turn around her form with a strong victory at Mornington.

The maiden win for the daughter of Snitzel was the fourth winner bred by her owners Lauriston Thoroughbreds across the weekend.

"It's great to train a winner for the O'Briens as they are such great supporters of the Victorian racing industry," Danny O'Brien said of his namesakes.

"She is a lovely filly, who got it all wrong on debut, but she was very good in this race and gave a better account of her overall ability.

"I am looking forward to seeing how far she can progress as she is still learning her craft."

Jockey Ryan Maloney rode an excellent race as he let the early speed battle go to stalk the leading pair before pouncing on them inside the final 100m.

It was Maloney's third recent winner in the past month for O'Brien as he also scored on the trainer's progressive stayers She's Got Speed and Skulduggery.
