Snitzel Blueblood Makes Winning Debut

A son of a record-priced broodmare and a half-brother to Shooting To Win and Deep Field much was expected of the three-year-old Snitzel colt Rights Of Man when making his career debut over 1112m at Kyneton on Tuesday.

Retained to race by his breeders, Cressfield Thoroughbreds and China Horse Club, the Danny O'Brien-trained chestnut was backed to the exclusion of all others, firming from $4.50 to start at $1.35.

He got the job done despite showing greenness in the straight to defeat With Edge (Canford Cliffs) by one and a quarter lengths with O'Whatapicture (O'Lonro) back in third.

Rights of Man is the sixth foal of the stakes-winning Elusive Quality (USA) mare Listen Here, who was sold at the 2016 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $3.4million.

It is a positive result for Cressfield who will consign an I Am Invincible filly out of Listen Here to the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale in April.
