SURF'S UP FOR GOLD COAST BELLE
Gold Coast Belle could not have been more impressive when she destroyed her rivals at Seymour on Friday.
Having just her second race start, the daughter of So You Think sat three-wide on speed in the 1100m maiden event before exploding away for an eased down 2.25-length win.
Jockey Jordan Childs was thrilled with the filly's performance.
"That was pretty comfortable as it felt like we had the race in our control from a long way out despite the wide run," Childs said post-race.
"She is a really nice filly that will reach a pretty high level so it's exciting for her future."
The daughter of So You Think finished second on debut in September at Seymour before having a break, and this was her first start back.
"To win like that first-up is pleasing as she had been showing us a lot at home, so we look forward to how far she can progress this campaign," trainer Danny O'Brien said.
