TACTICS RISK PAYS OFF

Trainer Danny O'Brien informed punters of a change of tactics pre-race and the move paid dividends as it led to Imminent Risk breaking through for his first win at Geelong on Friday. 

O'Brien alerted stewards to the fact he was asking jockey Damien Thornton to ride the gelding forward, and the son of Medaglia D'Oro did the rest proving too sharp for his rivals up on the speed.
