UK YEARLING PURCHASE DAZZLES

Calvi romped to an outstanding 11-length maiden win at Cranbourne on Friday night showing he is a stayer of the future.

The son of Sea The Stars was purchased by trainer Danny O'Brien from the Tattersalls Sale at Newmarket as the trainer looked to secure staying bloodlines for his clients.

Calvi has showing staying promise with three placings over a trip this preparation, and at start five he proved far too strong for his rivals over 2500m.
