VIRAL LOCKDOWNS SLICK VALLEY WIN

Viral went within a whisker of breaking the 1500m track record at Moonee Valley during his tough win on Saturday. 

The frenetic pace of the race was set-up by stablemate Sovereign Award, with Viral stalking the speed before fighting off challenges from race favourite Degraves and then Skyman. 

Jockey Craig Williams was at his best in the final stages as Viral surged back in front after being headed with 50m to go under the champion hoops urgings.
