Williams rolls back into town

Star jockey Craig Williams will team up with Qatar Bloodstock-owned Caravan Rolls On on his return to Australian racing at Caulfield on Saturday.

The globetrotting jockey has just completed another Japanese riding stint and also embarked on a working holiday in Europe since he last rode in Australia on April 26 at Morphettville.

Williams won the Sandown Cup last November at Caravan Rolls On's last start when trained by Peter Chapple-Hyam and the horse has since been transferred to the care of Cox Plate winning trainer Danny O'Brien.

The quality import is nominated for the 1600m open handicap at the weekend and Williams’ other confirmed rides for the meeting are the Robert Smerdon-trained filly Empress O’Reilly in the Quezette Stakes and Flash Of Doubt in an 1100m mares’ race.
