Winks finds Heaven at Geelong

Well-bred filly Absolute Heaven showed she has inherited some of the ability of her famous Group 1 winning 3/4 sister when she destroyed her rivals at Geelong on Sunday.

The Snippetson three-year-old filly is closely related to Winter Stakes winner Absolut Glam, who was also trained by Danny O'Brien.

Sent out $1.95 favourite, the Widden Stud owned-and-bred charge was taken straight to the front by jockey James Winks. He rated her perfectly before surging to an easy three-length win in the 1325m event.

"She won the race at the start by beginning so well and then she was able to cut out reasonable sectionals before sprinting strongly, it was a terrific effort," Winks said.

"I am confident she will win better races, she is of high quality," her jockey said.

It was her first win at start five, however the Snippetson filly is yet to miss a place with three seconds and a third from her first four starts.
