Ekati suffered nerve damage in a hoof after an altercation with a fence as a two-year-old. It was touch and go for a while, but he managed to be saved and after a extended recovery period he even returned to trianing in 2022, but unfortately he was unable to overcome his issue to be able to race. Ocean Grove native Allison has give him a new home as a companion horse for her other Off The Track thoroughbreds. She has a beautiful property and we are confident the next phase of Ekati’s life will be fulfilling for him.
