ACTA SPEAKS LOUD

Acta Non Verba produced his best form to score his second career win at Seymour on Thursday.

Connections had high hopes for the son of Blue Point last Spring when he finished second over a mile behind gun filly Treasurethe Moment by just 0.4 lengths, the closest anyone has come to her during her nine-race winning streak.

Thursday's BM62 race was the first time the gelding has attempted the mile since that race and it appears to have unlocked the key to his best form.

"We got left in front a fair way out, but he really sprinted well and it's great to get the win," jockey Billy Egan said post race.

"Last start he went for a home a bit early and was gobbled up late, but today's tempo helped him travel and I felt the winner a long way from home."
