Consistent Flirt flogs them

She came into Saturday with two wins from 14 and some seven minor placings to her name, but Absolute Flirt ($2.40F) honoured the market with a three-lenght rout in the 1100m BM78 at Flemington.

The daughter of Stratum raced in black-type racing last preparation without much luck, but trainer Danny O'Brien has her placed to perfection for this first-up.

It was painless viewing as Damien Oliver got the sweet sit on the back of leader Madam Superior, and kicked clear to put up the three length win.

Modear ($3.20) was the other main market fancy, and while she flashed home late she was never a winning threat from back in the field.

Post-race Oliver said he was impressed by the performance and he expected the mare would be competitive once again this campaign at a higher level.
