IMPORTANT CITY WIN FOR BLUEBLOOD
Blueblood filly Pula continued her rise through the grades with an important city victory at Caulfield Heath Track on Wednesday.
It was the second win in a row for the daughter of Group 1 winner Bonaria after registering three city placings to start her campaign.
Trainer Danny O’Brien said an excellent ride by jockey Jordan Childs was the key behind her victory as he took the four-year-old to the front in the 1800m BM66 event.
"She jumped well and Jordy took her straight to the front and that was the winning move as he rated her very well in front," O'Brien said post-race.
"She is still learning and improving with every start and I think she waited for them a little bit, which made the margin close at the end but she was still strong on the line and I expect she will get further in the future."
